A stock print from Rudolf Lesch Fine Arts, Inc. titled “Education of Cupid” featuring a colorful depiction of cupid sharpening its arrows and finished with a round row of decorative borders in various styles and shapes. The print is housed with rigid points in a custom gilt wood frame and green velvet matting. The back of the frame has a Kraft dust jacket to which the original paper label is attached that reads “Stock 14B37 Rudolf Lesch Fine Arts, Inc. Education of Cupid.” There is also a hanging string affixed to the frame with screw eyes. The print with velvet matting measures 8 1/8″ wide and tall and the frame measures 9 1/8″ wide and tall. There is some scuffing to the gilded frame and the Kraft dust jacket is coming undone from the back of the frame in the bottom left corner. Otherwise, the overall condition is good and has a naturally aged appearance.
Giclée Reproduction Print
Giclée is a term used to describe high quality fine art prints, copies of the original piece of art, created on large-format color inkjet printers. Open edition prints where there is no cap to how many prints are made, are usually not signed. If a giclée print is a limited edition, the artist’s signature goes under the bottom-right edge of the image in ink. The title of the print is usually not included, and the edition information is placed under the signature to distinguish the print from a hand-pulled print.
